미국 신용카드 디스커버카드(Discover card) 캐쉬백 해택

 

지난 1년간 DISCOVER IT CARD로

이득본 금액은 총 500달러 정도

 

정말 필요한 소비만 했고,

이 카드는 여러가지 해택이 분기별로 있어서

한국카드보다 훨씬 더 해택이 짭짤했다

 

 

단순 캐쉬백 해택으로는

1년간 총 273달러가 절약되었다.

아무튼 그래서 전체적으로

약 500달러 정도 1년동안 절감되었는데

 

 

디스커버카드는 분기별로

5% 리워드되는 항목이 달라진다

공통적으로는 $1500 한도까지만 적용되는 것 같다

1월부터 3월까지는

식료품점과 헬스장을 캐쉬백해준다

설명을 자세하게 보면

 

You activated to earn 5% Cashback Bonus at Grocery Stores (stand-alone) and Fitness Club & Gym Memberships from 1/1/22 (or the date on which you activate 5%, whichever is later) through 3/31/22, on up to $1,500 in purchases. Grocery Store purchases include those made at supermarkets, meat lockers, bakeries, smaller grocery stores, and grocery delivery services. All purchases made at Walmart, Target, convenience stores, wholesale clubs, discount stores, and supercenters are not eligible. Fitness Club & Gym Memberships include membership fees and purchases at health clubs. 즉 월마트나 타겟은 안되고

할인점은 다 안된다는 함정이 있음

그러나 Kroger나 Publix같은 식료품점은 되니까 괜찮음

 

헬스장은 맴버십 가입 비용이나

피트니스 관련 비대면 결제는 전부 가능하지만

헬스장 내 스토어에서 구매한 물품 같은 것들은 불가능할 수 있다.

4월부터 6월까지는

주유소와 타겟(Target)을 캐쉬백해준다

타겟은 그래도 한국의 대형마트 느낌이라 살게 생각보다 많다

그리고 이벤트성으로 2+1같은 것들을 하거나

타겟기프트카드를 주기때문에 이 기간을 잘 이용하면 이득을 좀 볼 수 있다.

타겟은 인터넷 구매 등등 다 가능!

 

주유소는 반드시 독립형 주유소만 캐쉬백이 가능하다

월마트나 샘스클럽, 코스트코 같은

마트에 붙어있는 주유소는 캐쉬백 적용이 안된다

#주유소할인 만 해도 차를 몰고다닐 일이 많은 미국에서

꽤나 괜찮은 해택인 것 같음

7월부터 9월까지는

음식점과 페이팔(Paypal)을 캐쉬백해준다

3분기인 7월부터 9월까지는 음식점과 페이팔인데

아마 학생들이 가장 해택을 많이 볼 수 있는 기간이 아닐까 싶다

 

보면 레스토랑과 페이팔은 큰 제약이 없다

그래서 레스토랑의 경우는

그냥 이 기간에 아무 음식점이나 패스트푸드점

카페, 배달 등등 그냥 막 가서 써도 상관없다.

그런데 도어대시나 우버이츠 같은 어플을 썼을때는??

 

페이팔을 통해서 구매하는 모든 물품은

디스커버잇 카드의 해택을 그냥 다 받을 수 있을 듯

웨어러블 기기(휴대폰, 스마트워치 등등)으로

결제되는 것들은 사실상 다 캐쉬백가능하다.
